What is your opinion of the new, Christian President Obama?

We have had 2 rich, Texas Oil tycoons, and an adulterer as presidents for the last 20 years. I think Obama seems like a very honest man. I like the positive family examples both he and his wife set for us. Yes, he is a Christian of the Church of Christ denomination. I think his passion to change the nation for the better is admirable. I wasn't an Obama supporter before the election but I feel we are in good hands with him as President. What do you think? What is your opinion of the new, Christian President Obama?I believe Obama will make a fine president once he takes the oath of office. I personally didn't care for Bush or any other republican for that manner but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
What is your opinion of the new, Christian President Obama?
I think you have been fooled by his sham of a church. I see him as a narcissist, an empty suit who is in way over his head. He might not be a bad guy, but he just doesnt know what he is doing and I think he is in it half for himself.
What is your opinion of the new, Christian President Obama?
better than the alternative and WAY better than what we currently have.

Its a shame that politicians have to take a religious litmus test before they can be accepted by this country.
lol. We'll just have to see, 'seeing' of 'who' is in his cabinet and all 'those' who screwed up in the past are still there! (I question him being a Christian as well.) There are TOO many 'questions' as it is about 'him'.
Actually, Obama is not the president yet.
1) What is your opinion of the new, Christian President Obama?

What happened? Did Bush and everyone else in Washington die?

2) We have had 2 rich, Texas Oil tycoons, and an adulterer as presidents for the last 20 years.

Really? I thought that we only had one ex-President that was an Oil Tycoon.

3) I think Obama seems like a very honest man.

this means at least one of the following things is true:

a) You did not pay attention to his campaign promises

b) You don't realize that he does not have the authority or power to deliver on many of those promises

c) You did not pay attention to any of the %26quot;day after%26quot; analyses of the many, many false assertions made by him during the debates

The same goes for McCain, of course.

4) I like the positive family examples both he and his wife set for us.

Well, I can't disagree with that - though I think his support of legal abortion contradicts the rosy picture you have painted. Abortion is NOT a %26quot;positive family example%26quot;.

5) I think his passion to change the nation for the better is admirable.

Only if

a) it is his passion

b) it is his passion for reasons other than personal gain

6) What do you think?

More of the same. Rather than addressing the extremely important but unpopular problem of the National Debt, he is going to support the same type of short-sighted instant-gratification policies that nearly all Presidents (and other politicians as well) support. In other words, like most of the Presidents before him, the U.S. will be in a more precarious position when he leaves office than it is now. His entire term will be an effort to produce policies that will win him the next election - not policies that will make the U.S. a better place 50 or 100 years from now. No doubt some of the policies he thinks will gain him votes in the next election will have positive long-range effects, but that is a happy coincidence, not a goal.

He belongs to the United Church of Christ, which is not at all the same as the Church of Christ. That particular church in Chicago advertises itself as %26quot;unashamedly black%26quot;, which is a racist attitude.. His preacher, Jeremiah Wright, is a bigot who openly condemns America from the pulpit. Obama sat and listened to that rhetoric for 20 years, and then rejected it only when it became politically incorrect to affiliate himself with it. In her master's thesis, his wife wrote about herself as being a %26quot;racial separationist%26quot; rather than an %26quot;integrationist%26quot;. She is listed as one of the 10 best-dressed women in America. Their house in Chicago is worth over $1 million. I'm reminded of Jesus' admonition to the rich, young ruler whom He told, %26quot;Go and sell all your posessions and give the money to the poor, then you will be worthy of the Kingdom of Heaven.%26quot; With all of the stimulus packages, redistribution of wealth, etc. etc. that Obama talks about, it will be interesting to see whether he is willing to make personal sacrifices to aid the country in getting itself back on its feet.
uh... Obama attended a church for twenty years that said f#@$ America...... nice christian bakground.

And he is half muslim..... so one has to wonder what really goes on in his head.

And he hasnt proven anything yet, hell he doesnt even come out of his house!
Well his pastor is a racist, whitey-hating bastard so don't even tell me you respect his religious choices. As for his politics, that's entirely a matter of opinion by I myself despise socialism, it's a punishment for having the nerve to be successful and makes being an asshole a crime, and the fact that he got elected largely because his skin is brown and he has a snazzy slogan infuriates me. He means well but I think he's going to perpetuate and worsen the economic woes America is experiencing.
