France is changing it GDP calculation to include a monetary Happiness number - your opinion do opine please?

The cold hard numbers that determine the nations domestic production which is the same for every nation since it is simply Math according to France does not give it's nation a fair shake. With high unemployment, 35 hour week, 8 week vacations and many social and welfare factors holding it's GDP down it has decided to %26quot;fudge%26quot; the numbers to look a little more competitive. Instead of taking the mathematical addition of all it's national output it wants to quantify and give a monetary value to %26quot;happiness%26quot; and add that to it's posted GDP numbers.

What is your opinion - smart, dumb, pathetic???France is changing it GDP calculation to include a monetary Happiness number - your opinion do opine please? It is not a GDP calculation, it is a poll calculation.

If the president wants to be reelicted he needs to prove he has done a good job.

As the GDP will shrink in 2012 compare to 2007 he needs a new value.
