Can the Republican Party survive the nation's demographic change?

Since on average, about 70% of non-whites vote Democrat, as compared to about 40% of whites, and since the proportion of minorities in the country increases ever year, do you think in the next few decades, the Republicans can no longer become a viable political party? Can the Republican Party survive the nation's demographic change? Now that the Republicans are making it clear that bigots are not welcome in their party, I think this will result in more minorities being more openminded about which candidate they support.

If the Republican party does not survive, I hope the Libertarians take their place!
Can the Republican Party survive the nation's demographic change?
The question is can the country survive the democratic change

Per News Week %26quot;We Are All Socialists Now%26quot;
Can the Republican Party survive the nation's demographic change?
It has nothing to do with race. It has to do with personal beliefs.
Ask the Whigs
No. Clearly Americas political values are going to have to change. I think it will be for the worse.
they like handouts or like the borders open
Not if country cant survive democrats.
The country is leaving your racism behind.
You have asked the wrong question. The question should be if America can survive the demographic change. If what we are seeing for Obama and his clan is the demographic change, it will not be long before America will cease to exist. Will we be able to hold America together long enough to remove Obama and his clan from power, or will they destroy America before that can happen.
the question is, can the country survive with the %26quot;Change%26quot;. I believe that the conservative party will become very strong within the next four years. We will have a strong person lead us to take back America in 2012. I predict it will be Sarah Palin.
Star for you, Democrats want blanket amnesty and open boarders to increase their voting base. The idea of entitlements will be very attractive indeed. The thought of a fascist one party system should be rejected by all Americans PERIOD!!!!
Well, if those that believe in doing things for themselves become the minority, then No, I don't see the Republican party surviving other than on a very reduced level. And with Rahm taking over the census, you can bet that the reapportionment that results will favor having more and more minorities in each district to keep Obama in office NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS with the economy. They are already preparing to stuff the ballot boxes.
At some point in time people, majority or minority, will have to wake up and see the reality of hand outs, Some one has got to work to pay for this system. Once that is realized the Democrats are in trouble.
The last time the GOP was viable, was when Eisenhower was in. What will drive in the last nail, is the FOX5 bankruptcy
Actually, 90% of those that want something for nothing are socialists, and there will now be laws passes that it is incorrect to speak out against those socialist that are now in control of the congress and white house. Soon even questioning any action they do will end up with a person being detained as a terrorist under the Patriot Act.

Republicans are what grown up become. Because they actually WORK, achieve success and accumulate wealth. But, of course the lazy call them 'rich' and tax them to redistribute the wealth.

Race really has nothing to do with it, it is maturity and personal/financial responsibility.

Soon the Republicans will be the lesser of two evils. And the socialist Party will be the majority party.
I guess this is the way I see. I would like to add a disclaimer and say that this isn't based on actual fact just a logical analysis of society. It would seem that over time people are generally dissatisfied with whatever party is in office and a consciousness forms in the next election where people vote in the opposite party. This seems to be associated with difficult economic times and war. I guess if anything you just gave me something to think about if I find anything else out I'll let you know.
The Democratic party will eventually fracture along the lines of people with jobs and people without jobs. Also, each minority within the party will demand to be deemed the most oppressed, so as to reap the most benefits in order to be even. This will cause the party to split.

We are now trading in a new currency. The Republicans dealt in Economic Power, and the Democrats deal in Political Power. The problem with that is, absolute power corrupts absolutely, so the inevitable end result of this veto-proof Democratic majority will be corruption and cronyism on a unprecedented scale.

Incumbents are voted out when the populace is angry, regardless of the party. People vote Democratic when they are scared, and vote Republican when they are embarrassed. Right now, more people are scared, but this will change.
If the Republicans EVER want have a chance again, they have expel the racist elements in their base. That won't be easy. You see how they didn't exactly welcome Steele as RNC chairperson. The rabble that cannot accept racial equality, are VERY few. They are clustered in small communities, where they only interact with 'like minded' people. That limited view of the world, leaves them at an extreme political disadvantage. Unfortunately, there is a very good chance that many of them will begin to engage in acts of domestic terrorism[Tim McVey], to make there point. At that time, if Obama can't put down the insurrection, ALL bets are off ! There will be a bloodbath ! Just look at what is going on in Coatesville PA. It looks very similar to ETHNIC CLEANSING ! The GOP is totally fractured right now , as the various factions battle it out to fill the 'power vacuum' left by Bush. The fact that he cheated to be elected, left NO extension of power from the incumbent, to the prospective candidate. The republican primary was a fuster cluck to the bottom. No one candidate rose to the top of the heap. McCain was just the LAST one to hit bottom. That left him at the top of the heap at the bottom. Each of the different 'platform issues' were separately represented by each of the individual candidates. There was no unity or over all cohiesive strategy that allowed for a organized effort. Get rid of the racists, and the party's image will improve, with the %26quot;cross-over%26quot; voters at least !

Political parties have evaporated in a blink of an eye before, over less !
