What is our nation economic title? Are we capitalistic, socialistic or communist?

Too many people are wanting more and more from the government but have forgotten where we started. We are a capitalistic nation and until we change we should behave as such. People complain about every fascit of our government but want more and more from it. We can't have it both ways. We are a great nation because of our capitalist upbringing, yet everyone wants the government to become big brother.

Just think the billions we could save if welfare was fixed? Billions of dollars go to people who have made welfare a lifestyle not a aid service.

Another thing, Hollywood has taken aim and blame the government for not doing more for society. Why don't they take all their millions of dollars and put their money where their mouth is. Instead of whining why government doesn't do more and reach in their deep pockets and help society out. What is our nation economic title? Are we capitalistic, socialistic or communist? Is there a title called %26quot;deceptivistic%26quot;? Capitalistic may have been how it began, but it has since been infused with so much underhandedness, lying and man-made priority (just look at the pork-ladden 700 bill) it can't hardly be truly a capitalistic economy. Pork linings is not new to the political/economic process. To consider our nation being capitalistic is like selling drugs out of the neighborhood candy store. The welfare system has those who seem to think it's better to get a little somethin' for nothin' than living with a purpose toward success. There's another side of the coin that involves those who are %26quot;successful%26quot; in gov't or wherever...but their incompetence is overwhelming and yet they continue to earn a successful %26quot;honest living%26quot;. Neither scenario is okay....but each one's needs are being met by deception. The larger population of hardworking, soundminded, God-fearing people who basically live and thrive within common sense reasoning and basic life skills that work.......are getting hammerd by the blue and white-collar criminal element.
What is our nation economic title? Are we capitalistic, socialistic or communist?
We are a Capitalist but soon to be Socilaist.
What is our nation economic title? Are we capitalistic, socialistic or communist?
For the love of comedy we have to put McCain in so help me help him go to the white house by telling everyone to vote Republican for 2008.
True....but the libs are going to nail you for this.

Welfare is a joke......earlier I saw a post from a lady that wanted to know how to get disability cause she was laid off.......Pathetic.
This country is going down the crapper.
We have a mixed economy system.

BTW:

Myth: Poverty Results From a Lack of Responsibility

Fact: Poverty Results From Low Wages

Myth: A Huge Chunk of My Tax Dollars Supports Welfare Recipients

Fact: Welfare Costs 1 Percent of the Federal Budget

Myth: People on Welfare Become Permanently Dependent on the Support

Fact: Movement off Welfare Rolls Is Frequent

Myth: Most Welfare Recipients Are African American Women

Fact: Most Welfare Recipients Are Children-Most Women on Welfare Are White

Myth: Welfare Encourages Out-of- Wedlock Births and Large Families

Fact: The Average Welfare Family Is No Bigger Than the Average Nonwelfare Family

Myth: Welfare Families Use Their Benefits to Fund Extravagance

Fact: Welfare Families Live Far Below the Poverty Line

Bush turned it into a socialist state.
Hypocritical, Capitalist.
But before these social programs became available our lifestyles were rather horrible. We were basically a third world country, complete with child labor. We used to work 14 hour days 7 days a week, we were in essence at the mercy of the rich. Diseases killed many infants, etc, etc.

Socialized programs are beneficial, I know that it is hard to believe but without them we would be at the mercy of people who are wealthy. Our country uses both aspects of a socialist and capitalist country. If we were to rely solely on capitalism, life for the majority would be horrible.
We will be socialist, and that is one step from communist. Hollywood people are not like us, they can buy their way out of anything, and rules are only for the little people, Us. If we didn't support their life style they would change their tune in a hurry. But for now, they will continue to swish around and be happy and mostly gay.
We are a capitalist society but are on a fast track to becoming socialist, especially under Obama.

Some times I think many people did wrong to give up their land to move to cities trying to make it big. Unfortunately life in the city is dependant upon jobs in the city. Economic collapse within a city is sure to bring about govenment dependance.

I know many are hating ever selling off their family land.

america WAS capitalist . it has become a corporate fascist state . the federal gov gives out three times as much in corporate welfare than social welfare . this is to corporations that are already highly profitable . 2/3 no longer pay ANY fed tax . guess who gets to make up the difference ? lobbying is legalized bribery . K street has bought and paid for the entire congress . im voting for Nader .
unbridled capitalist-meaning the horse is unbridled and not controlled and is running wild.
1. Capitalism is not great. Our country is WEALTHY because of capitalism, but why dont you take a look behind that. Capitalism has led to the US having one of the biggest wage disparities in the world. Our for profit medical system is a bloated joke (the US spends the most dollars per citizen to get worse care then every industrialized country). We have problems with hunger and homelessness that no other industrialized country has.

2. Lets go ahead and take out welfare, that way, we can force people in to working for slave wages that wont buy them a shelter or food. Nice.

3. Why dont you also take a look at where every single %26quot;capitalism%26quot; in history has ended up.....how bout France? Spain? Cuba? Russia? China? Japan? If you answered %26quot;Revolution (peacefully or violently) by those who have been being economically imprisoned for the priveledge of the oligarchic plutocracy%26quot;, you are exactly right! Turns out, when the slave class of capitalism eventually engulfs most of the population, they no longer will sit by and watch themselves get robbed blind.
We are capitalistic moving towards a kleptocratic economic system. Also voting for Nader.
