I also think the neglect of people in the Katrina effected area was a situation of mistreating POOR people.

I think it was a tragity but in some ways it was good for our nation because it made everyone more aware of what could happen and what may happen again
shure brought unity forgiveness and love and respect to humans to respect each other but this is not enuf i don't wish anybody to loose their lifes because on a account of that but that is effective experience to bring unity in the country and love
The claims of neglect and racism on the part of the government for their slow response should be aimed at the Louisiana state government and the City of New Orleans. The federal government made mistakes, in that they should have prepared a national emergency fund to help people in these situations, but it is the history of indifference towards poverty and race that comes from the state government that is the problem.



I feel it is a result partly from the effects of greenhouse gases and partly from undocumented climatic change. It was not so long ago that they were documenting hurricanes, trade winds, monsoons and El Nino on a regular basis. The news is a joke. They want to look up Paris Hilton's skirt, not talk about environmental issues or climatic change.
Kanye jumped on the Bash Bush bandwagon and forgot to take his brains with him. I wouldn't blame the rest of the African American race for his stupidity but I know a lot did. And after Popular Science came out with their own investigation and found where the blame really should have gone he looks really foolish. People in the entertainment business need to start keeping their political opinions to themselves cause the biggest share of us want to be entertained, not have their feelings shoved down our throats.
