Why does my daddy not like Obama?

Ok, so I'm 13 years old, ok. I don't go to public schools. Both my parents have me home schooled. Whenever my daddy talks about Obama, he says things about him that are hateful. He says that he's going to change our nation into a socialistic nation and that he plans on tampering with the 22nd amendment.

Listen to your daddy. Your teacher is a very bad person that lies for Obama. Don't sing any songs about him.

Remember, think about what you can do for Obama, not what Obama can do for you.
You need to ask your Daddy for more specifics. It is his personal opinion, and only he can explain it to you accurately.



There are many reasons that people would like or dislike a politician. But regardless, we should respect the fact that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

He has hate in his heart... I hope he gets over it.
I think it's the same reason your Mommy loves Obama. Daddy's just jealous because Obama is doing so good and making so many good decisions and that so many people love him so much. It's just envy (you can look that up). But the good news is becuase of Obama you and all your classmates will grow up in a better world where laws like Due Process and Innocent till Proven Guilty, and my favorite, Freedom of Speech all form the Bill of Rights are protected for all people. A nation where there are no secret prisons overseas to skirt around the US Constitution. A nation where a person isn't beaten up and tortured by the US military because they are a muslim.



Further those things he says as you wrote them are not hateful. Hateful. Most of those who call Republicans hateful are referring to blatantly outragous statements based on race and hate; like putting Obama's face superimposed over Buckwhat; or calling him a monkey; or may favorite, cheering when the US lost the Olympic bid. Those things are based on hate.



BTW I doubt Obama will try to change term limits as he has not tried. Bush never tried. The reason many presidents don't try to change term limits is because no one can predict which party would get lucky with a long term candidate. Changing the rules doesn't mean a repbulican or a democrate would serve 12 or 16 years, so it would be anyones game and both parties are too nervous about that.
Because Daddy has a brain.

Your daddy is a concerned conservative which is just about opposite of Mr Obama's political position.

Politics is an emotional thing. My mother, some years back told me that on meeting a new person never discuss politics or religion.

To get a bit more insight into dad's position watch fox news for a day.

Read some of the material written by our founding fathers. In particular start with Thomas Jefferson and John Adams.

If you are going to debate about Mr Obama with dad or anyone else it is a good thing to understand their position as you present yours.
