What kind of new standards will be set? and What will the more developed countries (ie. The United States, India and China) do to cut their emissions and become a more sustainable environment?What can we expect from the United Nations Climate Change Convention in Copenhagen in December?I just don't see much coming out of it. They won't be able to agree on much. China has had some wealth creation in the last couple of decades, I don't see those in charge willing to do something that could cause them to give any of it up. I think they are trying to gain economic power in the world, cutting emissions will make them nervous that it will interfere with that. India, same problem, they will fear losing to much wealth and falling behind.



I have this feeling that all these countries going into this feel it is the other countries that should cut back, not them. Only committing to baby steps and expecting the others to make the big giant steps.

I don't expect much, probably I expect it to fail. Nobody's interested in what the UN has to say any more because it seems to be a very corrupt, devious entity. There is no manmade climage change, and we shouldn't be wasting money on it. Instead of cutting emissions, I'd like to see the leaders of this scam imprisoned.
