Sexual harassment in the workplace is the most commonly known type of harassment among citizens. Feminists believe that this type of behavior had refrained women in the workplace and has made jobs unbearable.(change word) As more women enter into the work force, the nation becomes more aware of the issue of sexual harassment.(change nation to something else) Courts say that it is illegal to demand a sexual favor from an employee. There are two kinds of sexual harassment in the workplace, Quid pro prp and Hostile environment harassment. Quid pro pro harassment is when an employee must return sexual favors in order to get a raise or a promotion. Hostile environment harassment is when the behavior creates a hostile environment for the employee, causing their work performance to be effected. Courts have ruled that it is illegal to demand a sexual favor from an employee, and the guidelines for the definition of harassment has changed dramatically in the last 10 years. There are two kinds of sexual harassment in the workplace; Quid pro quo and hostile environment. Quid pro quo harassment is when an employee must return sexual favors in order to get a raise or a promotion. Hostile environment harassment is when the sexual advances creates a hostile environment for the employee and thereby causes their work performance to be adversely effected.
