Times have changed, A nation might want to be independent and self-sufficient, but globalization creates interdependence. Isn't this what we want as a Global Community ?



I say it's time to put Constitutions and Sovereignty aside and embrace the Global Community, don't you ?Isn't it time for a Global Union, rather than being independent, isn't it better to be interdepedent?No, I say you are a danger to our Constitutional rights and individual relevence to policital process, since only huge orginizations, collectivist or otherwise, can be realistically represented at centralized governments, and they water down the rights of the individuals to the lowest denominator. As for a one-world government, it is doomed to failure. You can look at how impotent the League of Nations was and how impotent the United Nations is today.



Aside from the massive bureaucracy and the impossibility of a world government to get anything at all done, what government system should we use?



North Korea isn't going to want to join if it means giving people freedom. Iran isn't going to want to join if it means letting Jews live. France isn't going to want to join if it means a higher standard of personal hygiene.

A Global community is impossible! As an American, I feel the United States should look out for ourselves first before helping others! Besides, there are so many different cultures, religions, and regional unions! Ur idea is a good one, but it won't happen any time soon!

No. We the people are towing enough dead-weight behind us, between our perverse and corrupt government, and the expansive welfare State they stuck us with. For sure, we don't need to have any greater load heaved onto our aching backs.

Plus, why would we wish to be interdependent with a bunch of folks who hate us and long for our destruction? We ought instead to pitch out all those who share their views, and keep them out. Thanks to the laissez faire insouciance of our Federal government, we have more than sufficient difficulties without being expected to bail out the rest of the world. And, centrlized government has proved over and over to be an abomination to its citizens.
