Do you need a temporary visa if your plane lands in a different nation?

I am an Indian citizen in U.S. on F-1 student visa. I am flying back to India, but the flight will stop at France. Will I need a temporary visa for France, though I will not be leaving the airport, but only changing planes? Are toothpastes, shampoos not allowed anymore for international flights?

Can anyone please clarify if there is anything else I need to be aware of other than ticket, passport and immigration documents?

Thanks a lot.Do you need a temporary visa if your plane lands in a different nation?Don't worrie, no Visa is needed. Unless you pass through passport check, which in your case you wouldn't be allowed that means you haven't really entered the country, so your fine!

You can take tooth paste and shampoos, althoguh pack your shampoo in your luggage which is to be checked in, also try take a small tooth paste on the plane as they don't like anything over 150ml.

Nothing else will be needed, enjoy your trip!!

No you do not need a visa, you are fine. Since you are only staying in the airport, you are technically not entering France as far as visa restrictions are concerned.

You will be fine as long as you stay in the airport and have your ticket to India in hand.

As far as toothpastes, shampoos and other liquids--the rule is that they have to be in a clear quart sized bag, and all of the bottles must be 3oz or less. If they are more than 3oz you'll have to put them inside of your checked bag.
