Karl Rogue (oops,I mean Rove) decided that TX Governor W.Bush was exactly the sort of Joe Six Pack Born Again type who the Religious Right and the Common- Man would vote for against what they billed as the 篓elitist篓 Gore( first) and Kerry (second).
Once Rogue and the neoconservative ideologues who now dominate the Republican Party got their man into the White House (and ,contrary to Bush, who thinks God did it, they knew they needed the votes of the majority to get him in there),they proceeded to re-educate him. He was kind of dragging his feet a bit at first but 9/11 woke him up and from then on it was a breeze. They fed him the rhetoric and he spewed it out to the public.
Now he has embarked us on a mission to save the world from itself and it matters not a hoot how many U.S. soldiers die in the process. We are supposed to bring democracy to every despotic, hostile country that neither desires it or deserves it. These jokers decide which nation should benefit from our attentions.
Neoconservatives believe in BIG spending: on wars and furthering Israel's interests in the region. They believe in messianic missions for our country. G.W. believed God wanted him in the White House. The two connected...the rest is history.
