Why hasn't the US added a 51st state yet, why isn't the US an imperial nation?

It clearly acts like an imperial nation through %26quot;regime change%26quot; but that seems to backfire a TON. When will the US start conquering countries and replacing the foreign governments with US administrations?

The first territory conquered could be called Area 1 or State 51 or something like that.

Also, why haven't the islands off the coast of the US joined as states yet? There are so many of them! We could probably add another 10 states alone just from these islands.

For those who ask why: Obviously, you don't understand imperialism, to conquer, that has been the TOTAL history of this world, 7000 years and still we have the same system! Why hasn't the US added a 51st state yet, why isn't the US an imperial nation?Baring all the silly answers the US is an imperialist nation. Other places need not become a US state to be under control of the US.

First there are places like US Virgin Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico that fall under the governance of the US. Puerto Rico uses the American dollar and US postage amoung other things. The US governs all kinds of places with puppet governments and coercion. Hawaii became a state under the coercive tactics of the US. The Philippines was under direct control and was given independence which really meant it was controlled by the puppet dictator Marcos.

Cuba was taken by the US and given independence but the US had written into the independence agreement that the US reserved the right to change any Cuban law as it saw fit. Then Fidel's revolution claimed real independence.

Panama was run by the CIA asset and puppet Noriega for years. Chile was run by the cruel General Pinochet, also a US puppet who agreed to stop any land reform beneficial to the Chilean people or any nationalization of anything.

Nicaragua's US puppet was the Samosa family who consistently acted against the needs of the Nicaraguan people in favour of themselves and the US.

Saddam was a cruel puppet of the US and a CIA asset since he was 22 years old and attempted, with CIA control, the assassination of Iraq's leader in 1958.

Georgia has become a US puppet with an American educated leader, American armed and train military, many military advisers throughout the country and untold amount of CIA assets. We can continue.
Why hasn't the US added a 51st state yet, why isn't the US an imperial nation?
It's all about the stars on the flag. 51 would be so awkward.
Why hasn't the US added a 51st state yet, why isn't the US an imperial nation?
We have 58 states!

Ask Obama.

He visited 57 of them and had ONE MORE to go.
i know puerto rico isn't a state because they voted against being one, even though that means they're considered a US territory and can't vote
It is a new imperialism done by corporations instead of governements. Watch zeigeistmovie.com and zeitgeistaddendum. They will explain it better than anybody here.
we cant afford the ones we have, how many lies do you have to hear, the city says if we build more houses your water rates will go down, your property taxes will go down, the largest employer of any big city is government, that never goes down, california is broke because they have to pay for illegals, thankyou liberals

because the way the world works right now, and because of world war 2. if we went to conquer, say, Mexico or Canada, we would end with the entire world pitting against us and the US being destroyed. the island off the coast have not been turned into states because as territories, the people there get almost all of the benefits of being a state without having to pay taxes.
Because Canada doesn't want any more provinces.
Have you ever heard of NAFTA, CAFTA, and MEFTA? As the EU has shown free trade is the first step taken towards countries merging into larger entities. The Dollar is already the most trusted currency in the world. And English is already the language of the world. We're taking over other countries. But we're not doing it by force. If you can get people in other countries to enjoy the lifestyle that American companies can provide (Walmart, McDonalds, Boeing, etc), you're already turning them into Americans without them actually realizing it. It's a way to conquer a country without even firing a shot.
