I have been told that several times in the US. Isn't the United States *supposed* to be a nation of freedom? A nation where we have the right and the DUTY to overthrow the government if it commits acts which are irreconcilable with the values of the people? Why should I be told to leave? Why shouldn't people encourage me to change it, fix it and make it better? Why should anyone who believes this government is wrong be told to leave?Have you ever been told that you don't like the status quo of the government in your nation, you should leave?Henry David Thoreau wrote about how people need to keep their government in check, and if the government doesn't work for the people they need to overthrow it. Problem is people are too scared. They are too wrapped in their T.V. dinners, late night sitcoms, and reality shows. The American public overall, aren't stupid, they are just distracted. Distracted about how the world is and what makes a country successful. Its called patriotism, people who simple draw the line of supporting the country or hating the country. You shouldn't be told to leave. We should be firing every politician, re-writing the laws so health care costs don't make you homeless, or at the very least stop supporting illegal immigration (for those who support it, how would you feel if you paid hundreds of dollars, waited eight years for a visa and get denied because juan jose jumped a fence, what message is that sending). I love this nation, but I hate how easily corrupted democracies are.
Have you ever been told that you don't like the status quo of the government in your nation, you should leave?
Governments can't be fixed. Only revolution cures the cancer. If revolution is improbable due to ignorance, apathy or cowardice, then you should leave. The smartest citizens prepare then exit, usually just before a forced inoculation.
Those who counsel you to leave are providing wise advice. I suggest you take it.
You are not alone.
.
Have you ever been told that you don't like the status quo of the government in your nation, you should leave?
Because you told libs to do it 4 and 8 years ago.
Go whine somewhere else.
Edit: reported for inciting violence (this you have also done during that time).
I heard it in the 60's when we demonstrated against the war in Vietnam. It just shows ignorance, whichever side it comes from.
Yes I have
ANd when the cowards grow a pair and care to try to force me to leave I will be here to send them to their maker
We change the government with our votes.
Bad-mouthing a country that has given you so much isn't cool.
I don't like a lot of things either, but I would never say anything against my country.
You don't have to leave, but if your views are unpopular, expect to be heavily outnumbered by people on the other side. If you get beaten to death, at least you did so freely...
The US doesn't like whiny ppl!
These are the brain washed and brain dead in this country who say that. They cannot believe that their own government is corrupt and is no longer working for they're best interests. This is the reason this country is slowly able to take your rights away. Force bills that the majority do not want down our throats.
VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBENTS NEXT ELECTION and do this country a favor.
it is one of the lines republicans like to give -- dems do it too but I think they do it more as a, remember this, were in charge sometimes too -- at least that is how I use it
No, you have the duty to make America better, America ranks 37th in health care according to the WHO. American should strive to be number one in everything. You are un-American so you should leave.
There is no contitutional right to %26quot;overthrow%26quot; anything, so you are wrong.
You only have the right to use the right to VOTE to change the government. And the %26quot;freedom of speech%26quot; to denounce wrong doings and ask for %26quot;democratic and legal%26quot; changes.
But you can't use your rights to for anti democratic purposes and calls for violance.
