Eventually the 6 Nations tournament will become the 7 Nations. But which country do you think it will be?

Okay, so the 6 Nations tournament has grown over the years, with the most recent expansion being 10 years ago when Italy joined changing it from the 5 Nations to 6 Nations.

It's only a matter of time before it grows again as a 7th nation joins in the fun...But which nation do you think it will be, and why?Eventually the 6 Nations tournament will become the 7 Nations. But which country do you think it will be?If it does expand, it will not be Argentina, as they are set to join the Tri Nations!

Judging by the way they played in the last World Cup,I would like to see Georgia in it myself!

Georgia is capable of beating Scotland and Italy, although many people will find it hard to agree with me. I hope they beat Scotland on RWC, so the world can see how strong Georgia really is. I don't know much about rugby in Romania but i do know that their performance is worse after every new ENC

Possibly Romania...popular and developing well.
Argentina looked likely for a while, but they look to be heading to the Tri-Nations set up instead. Russia, Georgia or Romania would be the logical ones to opt for, given that they're the next highest ranked European teams.

But who knows? With the possibility of Argentina being included its been shown that geographic proximity isn't the sole criterion being applied. Maybe a united Pacific Islanders team could be entered, though sending them to expand the Tri-Nations (soon to be 4 nations) could make more sense, same with Japan. A united North America team perhaps? The US and Canada are getting better at the game and giving them regular internationals can only help to boost them.
I don't actually think they will expand. Argentina made noises for several years about joining as the seventh nation, but with league matches, Heineken Cup and things like the Anglo-Welsh Cup, the feeling among the current Six Nations was that the schedule was already too packed.

What is more likely is eventually to have promotion and relegation between the Six Nations and the second level Six Nations B. There is already promotion and relegation between all the divisions of international European competition below the very top level.

It won't happen soon. Some of the countries in Six Nations B (Spain, Portugal, Russia, Georgia, Romania and Germany) are making progress and getting fully professional clubs/leagues going, but none of them are yet at a level where they have much of a chance against Italy, much less any of the other Six Nations squads.
I do not think they will expand it as no other teams in Europe would be able to challenge even the weakest team (Italy) Romania vs Scotland hardly sounds like a game to get the sponsors excited does it ?
Its likely to be a not very good team that is in Europe like Germany or Spain.
I heard talk of Romania joining a while ago, i can't really see it changing though to be honest
Romania were threatening back in the late 80's early 90s but haven't been anywhere as consistent since. Argentina will eventually make the Tri-Nations the 4 Nations or Quad Championship or Southern Hemisphere Cup etc. I really can't see any further expansion for 10-15 years, and certainly not from Europe, only Canada or the US would possibly enter to make a Northern Hemisphere Championship.
It won't happen for a long time. And face it, if another European team gets to the standard they'd be just as likely to make it the 4 nations again and give France and Italy a tri-nations against them. It's a poor format for Rugby only playing each other once, at the least you want a home and away series.
It will have to be a european team, but with so many fixtures at the moment it's hard to fit in another team, but if there is it will be Romainia.
Argentina

The majority of the players play in France and they would play in Spain

And come on there is no way Georgia,Romania,Spain,Portugal,Germany etc. will ever join the 6 Nations

They are doing just fine in the European Nations Cup
I don't think there is a team that could go in and compete. Italy has been there for a few years with only a handful of points. One story that does raise its head every so often here is that SA Rugby may prefer to join the Six Nations rather than the Tri Nation here. No chance of that happening real soon but one never knows.
I believe that Argentina has the chance to join the Six Nations tournament. If there is a reformulation of this criterion in the competition.
Why is it only a matter of time? The 5 nations ran officially for 90 years until Italy joined in and although they have caused an occasional upset they are yet to really put their own mark on the tournament.Bringing in any other nation and increasing the number of fixtures would be a huge upset for managers of the domestic clubs who would lose the international players for even longer. With argentina due to expand the tri-nations set up, other than the Pacific Island nations there is no other team in world rugby that could compete with the existing 6 nations
Romainia should have joined in the 80s as they had a team capable of winning the tournament back then. They've dropped off since the fall of communism though. Portugal are improving but I think the next team you will see in the six nations is Georgia as they have a lot of players playing in France.

Kenya will be the next team to join the tri-nations (and Argentina).
spain as if it picks up the game it would have the best market
