It's nothing new for advocates of socialism, isolationism, appeasement, multiculturalism, defeatism and American non-exceptionalism to flex their muscles and gain power for a time. But expecting to effect such far-reaching and potentially devastating changes to this nation in the name of unity is breathtakingly arrogant.

I find it incredibly amusing how the %26quot;common people%26quot; are savvy about current events and pay attention to what is happening in our government system.
And then at the town hall meetings, a lot of intelligent questions are being asked, then dodged by the arrogant representatives.
I think a lot of these career politicians are going to see the end of their cushy jobs.
Maybe if they had town hall meetings more often, especially before a bill is up for debate and voting, the government officials would vote more for what the people want, not what the lobbyists are going to pay them to vote an opposite way.

I believe that it's better than the underhanded and shady dealings of the last administration. Gee the last administration allowed the banks to offer shady mortgages to people who couldn't afford them, companies to cut jobs after disasters, 9-11, and force people to see that no matter what you did, if you made $100 k a year you were not immune to the inevitable foreclosures and job cuts.

If you consider having a sense of vision, and the guts to try to implement that vision as arrogance, then so be it. Tom Ridge said yesterday that he was pressured by the Bush.....or should I say the Cheney Administration to raise the Homeland Security terrorist alert level right before the 2004 election. If that isn't the height of arrogance, I don't know what is. Imagine that.
I saw if nearly two years ago and tried to inform people, but they were entranced by this empty suite who has nothing but contempt for the American people, the American culture and the American political process. He is a contemptible man bent on changing America into his Marxist utopia. Fortunately the American people cannot be fooled for too long.
After just about everyone I voted for lost the election, I sincerely hoped he would be true to his word, cut gov't pork, balance the budget, be transparent, and effect healthy change (like repeal the patriot act)...
