The U.S. is a superpower. These days, the U.S. is fighting to spread our influence and ways of government to weaker, vulnerable nations. We want other nations so it can benefit the U.S. For example, in iraq, the war is fought because they have a natural resource that we now lack, which is oil. oil would beneift us but we dont NEED it. America used to fight for freedom, justice, and peace. The U.S. was once selfless enough to sacrifice our soldiers just to give oppressed nations the opportunity to live like us, which is living with freedom, choice, equality, opportunity, justice, and security to all nations including the U.S. Thats a good reason to fight. Fighting so others can have the opportunities you have, fighting to end tyranny, fighting agaisnt evil leaders who plan on dominating the world, fighting agaisnt oppression, fighting agaisnt inhumane actions such as the holocaust, fighting for your friends and family back at home so they can continue to live how they live. Our soldiers morals were very high back then, our soldiers were tough, and never gave up. The U.S. soldiers were uniuqe because we had inexperienced soldiers, but we had such great determination and hope, so great that agaisnt all odds we rose to absolute victory. Now in Iraq, soldiers fight for oil!! not a good enough reason to risk your life. Lets say that Russia was superior to us. Russia attacked the U.S and went to war with us to %26quot;Russianize%26quot; or change our ways of government, philosphy, economy, traditions, to russian ways. We would be pissed that a bully nation is changing our ways of life so it can benefit their own. I beleive in this case our soldiers would fight with great determination and hope simply because we have something more meaningful to fight for, our freedom, not oil. But now lets end this scenario. Look at us today, we capture and change other nations ways so it can benift us. We fight so our super power can become an invincible power. How selfish. We capture small islands with weak militaries so we can have a body of water that can benefit our trading routes and influence. We used to fight agaisnt this!!! Now, i beleive we have become the very thing we sought to destroy. Thereofre, the only nation who can defeat the U.S. is the U.S. I miss old America. such a selfless and caring nation we used to be. Now we are selfish, greedy, and cocky. What do you guys think? Is The United States becoming what we used to fear so much?may i recommend paragraph returns? this is punctuation abuse/paragraph structuring negligence, and hard to read. sorry.
Is The United States becoming what we used to fear so much?
the U.S. has never been selfless. we have always thought of ourselves first. example: WW2 we didn't enter until they bombed us even tho we knew what was happening.
the U.S. has always been the same, but i guess people are just starting to realize it.
