So, let me get this straight, Americans vote America the greatest nation on Earth year after year, doesn't that tell you something? You would think anyone with common sense would say, %26quot;gee, I live in the greatest nation on Earth, how can I keep, or rather conserve this status forever?%26quot; but no, libs see perfection and they want to change it. Isn't that wrong. Being a conservative means wanting to conserve, and if something ain't broke, don't fix it. America does not need change. If we had stayed the way we were at our best, ca. 1955 or 1985, we wouldn't be in this mess that the liberals have designed for us. You have to be able to change with the changing times in order to survive. Nothing stays perfect.`

Well lets see... I don't think being ranked in the mid 30's in health care around the world is the best. Costa Rica is ahead of us for god's sake, why wouldn't you want to change that? Those who don't change repeat their mistakes and are doomed to fail.
The greatest nation on Earth has only stayed that way BECAUSE we make changes when something isn't right. Think we'd still be the greatest nation on Earth if slavery was still legal, if women couldn't vote, if blacks couldn't vote, if segregation was the norm? Get a clue, and a history education if you can.
You believe that America was perfect in 1955. Lets see what changes that Liberals pushed through that you feel were part of the perfect US.



1. Segregated Schools

2. Blacks restricted from using public accommodations like restaurants, theaters, etc. And when using public transportation restricted to a segregated section (the back of the bus)

3. Blacks being denied the right to vote through unconstitutional voter registration rules and bigoted election boards.

4. Seniors without health insurance (no medicare)



These are just a few things that liberals have changed since 1955, when you think America was %26quot;perfect%26quot;.



The preamble of the Constitution, %26quot;in order to form a more perfect union,%26quot; was the start of an ongoing process to continually improve the union, not a pledge to stagnate as we were in 1787.
Just because we may be %26quot;the greatest nation on earth%26quot; doesn't necessarily mean that all of our domestic and foreign policies, systems, programs, services, etc. the greatest on earth.



We're not the greatest when it comes to crime rates, health care, education, manufacturing, etc.



Your argument is dead in the water, brother. It's blind patriotism that encumbers progress.
Liberalism is what made America the great nation that the Conservatives now want to conserve.
