Im writing a research paper and i dont know how to start off the attention getter of it, its about rosa parks and how she changed a nation|||It%26#039;s a little cliche, but if I was writing this paper, I would begin with a thrilling narrative outlining the key historical event in Rosa Parks%26#039;s life, the refusal to give up her seat to a white man. This would be especially good if you are allowed to write in an informal tone (use the words %26quot;you%26quot; and %26quot;me%26quot;, exclamation points, etc.)
Another good way to start any paper is begin with a universal truth and work your way to the main subject. Your universal truth could be anything, but the easiest target here is something like %26quot;Discrimination against a person based on the color of their skin is wrong. (Interesting sentence about discrimination here). One person who stood up against the scourge of discrimination was Rosa Parks.%26quot;. Other universal meanings could be used, but they might be a bit trickier: %26quot;Peanut butter and jelly is definitely the best-tasting type of sandwich. (Sentence about taste). One person who helped define the collective taste of America was Rosa Parks.%26quot; This is a cool trick for standardized tests, too. Almost everyone has at some point in their lives. From there, explain how one woman must have felt that way too, had enough of feeling that way and did something about it. Go on to explain what she did about it. Follow that intro up with solid research and stats to back your research. A well written paper will draw the reader%26#039;s attention from the start and make the reader want to go on. By stating something that is mostly universal ( feeling second or not as good to something ), you will draw the reader in. It%26#039;s an attention-grabber to know that a few young black men in New Bern, NC were ignorant enough to actually commit crimes against her!
