Have we become a disposable nation?

As I watch our nation change and see all of the people following the new norm, I can%26#039;t help myself but ask: Are we becoming a disposable nation?

I look at past generations, our grandparents, the ones who lived through the great depression and how they embraced their values of conservation and conservative beliefs. Many young people, especially on yahoo answers ridicule them and make up names for GOP for their entertainment.

They, the young feel they are true in their ways of %26quot;green%26quot; living but yet somehow the older generation beat us 10 fold in conservation. We let our government destroy perfectly good assets while other who can%26#039;t afford a new car get stuck with the one blowing blue smoke because it has bad rings. Why destroy assets which still hold value? Is this green?

How is that saving the economy, improving lives and going %26quot;green%26quot;?

Not only have we disposed of our assets and things we own to only replace them with something that works just as good as the older product we are disposing our values and principles on which this country was founded.

I don%26#039;t care if you support Democrats or Republicans, they are the same, it is just a party, not a belief. We need to support and empower the Constitution of the United States. We are eroding the good the United States once stood for yet people follow with their heads down only supporting them because of change.

We know what works. The constitution works. We can abandon it and hope for change for the better but how can you know? Why forget what works and move towards something that may not?

This nation isn%26#039;t green in assets or values. This nation has forgotten its past and only blindly supports the future which is still too hazy to see clearly.|||To piggy back on Jenean, the word %26quot;conserve%26quot; is in %26quot;Conservative.%26quot;

What you%26#039;re saying is terribly unpopular, but awfully true. We are in the mess we are in as a country because we%26#039;ve (myself included) have bought things we don%26#039;t need under the guise of %26quot;it%26#039;s a necessity,%26quot; %26quot;I work hard and deserve this,%26quot; %26quot;My neighbor makes less than I do and has one.%26quot;

Just look at this terrible Cash For Clunkers fiasco. We are telling people to get rid of the cars they own outright and are still functioning automobiles. We%26#039;re destroying them and having the people buy new cars where they%26#039;ll sometimes save a whopping 2 miles per gallon of gas and in exchange be saddled with a car payment when unemployment is double digits and rising. They budget the program for more than 3 months and run out of money within a week and now are looking to put more money into it.

INSANITY|||What has changed in the boldness and corruption of our politicians, and their extended ability to warp our children through media and propaganda in school.|||Disposable nation?

Have you looked at the average persons garbage nowadays? It%26#039;s filled with nothing but their disposable lifestyle.

Green my ***. Concern for the environment my ***. Concern for their fellow man my ***.|||been that way for years. nothing new.|||You are right about young people on Yahoo answers. They ridicule the GOP and Conservatism in general because they are young and stupid as opposed to being young and educated. The Liberals sing them a song of endless rebellion and complete license to do what they want (sex, drugs and ghetto music) rather than maturing into reasonable adulthood, and of course the young buy into it. Who wouldn%26#039;t? They are too stupid to know what the Constitution says because they can%26#039;t read for content and understanding ---- many of them can barely read. Or haven%26#039;t you noticed the deplorable grammar and spelling in most of these questions that make chimpanzees look smart in comparison.
