People want to hear the news and have it make sense to them. I have to say that i feel more like i am getting both sides of the issue when i watch fox news. No, it just provided a channel to tell all the idiots the %26quot;news%26quot; they want to hear.|||Depends on which part you watch. If you watch people like Brett, major Garret, and sheperd smith it%26#039;s a good impact. They let people know what%26#039;s going on. But people like hannitty are just irratating to watch and is just an oppinion. Honestly oreily probally has the best of both worlds even if I don%26#039;t agree with his views|||I hardly watch it but I am constantly accused of watching it. Most of its commentators simply feel the same way I do. I can%26#039;t even get decent AM radio where I live. I have not listened to Rush and friends in a couple of months and I hate TV so much I do not get cable. Yet when I post here I am constantly accused of being a Fox brainwashed fan unable to come up with ideas of his own. However this only re-enforces my opinions and adds to my conclusion that Liberals are full of something. I accept nothing less than actual facts and when people act and make statements that are clearly wrong they lose credibility with me fast. And I present this evidence to anyone else being accused of being brainwashed.|||It%26#039;s always good to watch a bit from different new stations. Even if you think that station has a skewed view, it%26#039;s good to see the different perspectives so you know where people are coming from and so you can make your own more informed decisions.
I think that Fox is at times terribly skewed to the right. However, I have watched some interesting stories. Politically, though, I think it has been poorly represented. Some shows (the O%26#039;Reilly Factor for instance can barely hide their prejudice).
I%26#039;m not saying that other news stations aren%26#039;t skewed the other way. Everyone has their bias, but there%26#039;s my opinion.|||It%26#039;s a great station for people that need to be told what to think instead of people that just want to know what is happening in the news.|||I think they are very good for the country even though they lean too far to the right much of the time.
The purpose of all News Media is to hold our politician%26#039;s feet to the fire.
The majority of them only take that responsibility seriously when the politician in question is a Conservative or at least a Republican.
Fox News is the first part of that group, which does their job, even when the politician is a Liberal, and many Liberals, who are not used to being scrutinized, despise them for it.
Those Liberals, who have a lot more friends in the Popular Media, can be helped by them to make Liberal bias look like %26#039;Fair and Balanced%26#039; coverage while Conservative bias is ridiculed and it%26#039;s News Analysts are reduced to caricatures of themselves, for doing the same thing their Liberal counterparts have always gotten away with.
The subtle power that they have, to slowly and carefully indoctrinate the public, can%26#039;t change the fact that News coverage has improved, over all, including in the Liberal outlets, since Fox News was started.|||Free lobotomy.|||Made them more vocal, no other change, obviously vocal did not stop the DemonRats.|||They have only reported the truth...the death of the United States of America....|||It keeps the left in check. Without Fox News, most Americans never would have learned about Van Jones or the ACORN scandal.
