Hillary Clinton is not a great orator, maybe not even a good one. But she is chock full of experience, substance and has what it takes to get that %26quot;change%26quot; thing actually effected in D.C. I love inspiration from Obama, from anyone. It's hard to find. But I need more, and what I need to vote for President is what I get from Clinton. Answers, the ability to effect change and not just talk about it, and proven time tested ability and political prowess. Why do many Americans think rallying speaches gives you the ability to lead a Nation? Thanks.

Why do many Americans think rallying speaches gives you the ability to lead a Nation? Not true. I see this argument often on YA. It only proves that people only hear what they want to hear and ignore the rest. Anyone who truly cares to know what Obama's proposed changes are have the ability to find out and to read the details of how he suggests they should be implemented. Here are a few documented Obama proposals:
-Allow All Veterans Back into the VA
-Improve mental health care at every stage of military service
-Invest $150 Billion over 10 Years in Clean Energy
-Set National Building Efficiency Goals
-Provide Middle Class Americans Tax Relief
-Amend the North American Free Trade Agreement
-Invest in U.S. Manufacturing Innovation and Creating Jobs
-Create a federal Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) that will require 25 percent of American electricity be derived from renewable sources by 2025
-Expand the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit
-Reform No Child Left Behind
-Make Math and Science Education a National Priority
-Reinstate PAYGO Rules
-Stop funding wasteful, obsolete federal government programs.
-Create the American Opportunity Tax Credit
-Increase protection of US chemical plants
-Expand AmeriCorps from 75,000 slots today to 250,000
-Tax Credit that worth $4,000 a year in exchange for 100 hours of public service a year
- many more
Detailed policy typically comes out on stage during the General election when it is only two people on stage vs eight.
edit: Note the thumbs down for accurately responding to this question.Probably ignorance. Hopefully, not too many think that is true since being able to rally people has nothing to do with being a great leader.
Hitler was good at rallying people but he was also a terrible leader.Well lets just do it Bush way, no speeches and overthrown Al Gore, what the hell?Just that mob mentality thing going. No I think he should have been president of another world superpower first. The same reason they think %26quot;reality%26quot; TV shows have some basis in reality. Not very bright (%26quot;Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American Public%26quot; P.T. Barnum)has one Republican ever actually tried to look at any of the issues? any attempt to watch a debate where the issues were discussed in much closer attention than in ANY Republican debate?
I guess they don't bother for their own candidates, so why should they with anyone else?
Why don't you check out the whiney %26quot;Obama plans to do xxx%26quot; questions on here, if you don't think he's said anything...i dunno.. i'll leave it to God to speak through a burning bush. That is called politics, they all do that and have since George Washington. The last thing this nation needs is to be lead. We have been lead enough. You can see where it has gotten us. Now we need someone who inspires us instead.A better question is if a person is not good at giving speeches (Hillary), how can you expect them to persuade people to change.
All politics starts with persuasion. There is an old saying which says that you campaign in poetry but govern in prose.
Obama knows what he's doing. If you want to see specifics, go to his website:
www.barackobama.com
If you want stirring, persuasive rhetoric, go to his campaign rally.
If you want to know the man and his worldview, read his book.
You will be convinced that he's the real deal.Chi...you're so right! And yet the thumbs down people are probably the ones who voted for the same man who drank away his first 40 years!Because the Chief executive does not lead America's greatness and sensibility
through use of the telegraph.People nationwide are hungry for 'change.' He just happened to have pulled the word out of old campaigns and is now using them to get people motivated. To me, he seems like a preacher and not a politician. There are those who say we don't need a leader, no offense, but I beg to differ. The President is a leader. Not only of the U.S. but oftentimes the world. Currently, The republican choice has led us to be hated by all the world. I really think they would be supporting us if we had left the war at afganistan and not Iraq. I would still be bombing Afgan, until I was guaranteed a sure kill of the man who brought such horrible deaths to so many. Instead we went to fight Iraq and have since created more enemies. Hey, at first, I believed Georgy-boy, afterall he was the president; elected by so many and WMD fear will make us side with the Pres.on any day. Even the old boyscout himself (Gore) would have backed George up at first. Once it was discovered that Georgy was getting our boys and girls killed in order to make his friends rich, well..., Let's get back at your question. I don't think Obama can get other countries to like us again and to continue to consider the U.S. the greatest country in the world. I don't hink he can do this and keep jobs in the U.S. at the same time.
We are going to have to find ways of helping out Michigan. I hear the auto industry is in shambles over there. We are going to have to decide on the great US/Mexico Border Wall. What does Obama know about the border? We need to help out those who are loosing their homes to a poor economy and help out those victims of natural disasters. We need to help out and find a way of providing medical insurance to all those who nobody has been able to insure. I am not referring to welfare. I am referring to those middle class working people who cannot get insurance due to having had a serious illness, attack or procedure. So many of these people can afford the same type of premiums you and me pay but are either not offered insurance due to pre-existing conditions or are told their premiums are 25 times more expensive than the general premiums and will not cover any illness dealing with their pre-existing condition.
I'm sorry, but preaching up in that stage and enjoying your voice is not going to accomplish anything.
This election we need Hillary. Also, have you heard Cooper Anderson's predictions. There is no way either democratic candidate can win without considering either Florida and Michigan or considering Superdelegates. If either are considered, Hillary will win. She won both of those states already. She also has more pledged superdelegates. I think this argument should be finished and Obama should just throw in the towl and congratulate Hillary.
