On October 14th 2009, Lord Christopher Monckton, a noted climate change expert, gave a presentation at Bethel College in St. Paul, MN in which he issued a dire warning regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty which is scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.

That power is reserved to the Senate. The US will have to pay for everything. China will be exempt from everything. We will dissolve into a socialist dump, an extension of China.considering that americans are addicted to oil im assuming it will be like tryng to get a druggy to go cold turkey.Fortunately, we control more green technology than anyone else, so it may very well fuel an industrial boom, which we very badly need. Thing is, we have to make sure some of that stuff is made HERE.EVERY THING that has to do with energy or that runs on oil, and all it carries will be taxed and taxed and taxed againWithout the approval of the Senate, his signature would be nothing more than a symbolic gesture. It must be voted on by the Senate and pass by a 2/3 majority, or 67 votes.Another tax. sigh.Well all the liberals have to toe in lie cause their #1 campaign contributor wants to invest 10 billion in %26quot;green energy%26quot; and we all know its ******* fake.I would expect permanent 15%+ unemployment. Spain has already gone down the path of trying to build a green economy and has implemented a cap and trade system. Unemployment there is already at 20% and they expect it to go higher. Economists have estimated Spain's unemployment rate will reach 22% in 2010. Economists have calculated that for every %26quot;green%26quot; job created, 2.2 other jobs are lost.
There is no reason to think the American experience will differ. Keep this all in mind when you're in the voting booth, and when you're discussing how you will vote with your friends.Sean, as a resident of Minnesota (you too?) I have been trying to talk with our two very liberal senators. Klobuchar's office is just plain rude and so is she. They will not even talk with anyone that doesn't agree with their point of view.
I was able to talk with Senator Franken at the State fair and I presented him with the facts (see below) that over 31,000 American Scientists signed a petition urging the US to reject the Kyoto treaty. He asked me to follow-up with his office and said he wanted to know more. Charlie, his environmental specialist, is feeding him such a line of bull! Franken is going to vote in favor. And for the person who said it will require a 2/3 majority, that's what the Dems have.
Call your senator and don't get discouraged with their office gatekeepers. Keep bombarding them with the message that we don't want this! Minnesotans, call Charlie at Senator Franken's office, make your voice heard. Not very. The globe will be saved. That's pretty not bad.
